    Superb

The rooms were clean and the staff was very nice and accomadating.

    Very good

The very courteous and attentive staff.

Room 101 was next to the check-in room. This meant people stood right outside our door and laughed and conversed throughout the evening. When they came in for the night, there was more hooting and hollering, as our room was about ten feet from the front door as well.

    Good

The innkeeper went out and bought yogurt just for me when I mentioned that was what I usually ate for breakfast

Although clean the condition of the room was a bit run down.

    Exceptional

We liked the location, conventant to the warf. The staff was so very friendly, helping with direction, ALWAYS had a smile and helpful. room was nice, clean and quite. We loved the breakfast and Like that we could see several other B & B's

    Superb

It was a bed and breakfast with an intimate atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The location was fantastic...you can walk anywhere in Newport. I recommend it for couples and individuals traveling on business and shoppers/sightseers.

The downside is that parking is very tight. If you struggle with stairs, this may not be the place for you but if you are okay with stairs, it's very quaint.

    Exceptional

The staff was very accommadating and helpful. Breakfast was great every morning. Location is wonderful, just 2 blocks from the main part of town. I would return to the Cleveland House again.

Our room was on the first level which was a little noisy and not to much privacy, but I'm sure the other rooms were quiet. Request to stay on level two or three.

    Fabulous

That they were able to accommodate us immediately and were extremely helpful with parking and directions to the area. The staff were pleasant, polite and welcoming. The room was clean..

The Breakfast was poor and staff did not attend to replenishing items such as the milk, cream, coffee etc. That it was advertised with a Jaccuzi but it did not work, would have been nice to be informed prior, don't know if this affects the price?

I loved how cute and cozy the room was. It had everything you need, was very convenient and it was private!

    Location

Small cramped rooms with VERY outdated furniture. No room to swing a cat so to speak. Excellent location for fair price but glad we were only there for 1 night. The breakfast was good but served over in their other building but this information was not readily available and we only found this out by chance when we were having cereal in our lounge.

    Location, friendliness, clean, price.

    Exceptional

Host and staff very accommodating to our needs, the location is a short walk to the pier area of restaurants, shops and boat rides. There was parking available. Interesting to stay in a house built in 1752. Multiple adjacent buildings part of complex and breakfast available in different buildings if one was crowded. Also had one breakfast room strictly for dry cereals and coffee if you were in a real hurry. I am from that area so aware of the age of the buildings but would be considered quaint by others. I would definitely stay there again. They seemed very aimed to please. Kind of refreshing for the East Coast.

    Exceptional

Very friendly staff. Nice clean room with wonderful bath. Near to all downtown attractions. Nice quiet street. Parking at no extra charge. We will return as soon as we can

The only slight drawback is you need a good set of directions to find the hotel. There are many one way streets so it is difficult to navigate even with a gps.

    Fabulous

The Innkeeper and his staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. We walked to everything. The room was tiny but the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the shower had a strong water flow. It was a quiet environment.

The afternoon refreshment was watered down lemonade. There were no cookies or fruit to go with it. The breakfast was very ordinary-nothing homemade. It consisted of cold cereals, breads, fresh fruit, orange juice (tasted fresh squeezed) and coffee. Since there were no protein options and I need protein at every meal, I asked for peanut butter and they gladly got it out for me. I think the breakfast was the most disappointing part of our stay.
