The location of Cleveland House couldn't be better. Just a short walk to the heart of everything in Newport. I appreciated the free parking right outside my door. The room was clean and had a charming historical feel, with comfortable bedding. The staff, especially Rick, went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable with helpful local tips. Breakfast options were solid, and I loved the all-day availability. However, I noticed that there were no housekeeping services during my six-night stay. I wish this had been communicated at check-in, as it made things a bit inconvenient. Also, shower pressure was low for a few hours due to maintenance issues, though that wasn’t the hotel's fault. Overall, it was a great base for exploring Newport, but some improvements regarding communication on services would be beneficial.

I enjoyed my time at Cleveland House Inn. The location is superb, just a short walk to downtown and the beach. I loved that I didn't need to use my car at all during my visit. The innkeeper, Rick, offered some fantastic local tips and was very accommodating. My room was cozy and decorated charmingly to fit the historic vibe of the house. However, I encountered a few issues. The jacuzzi tub in my room didn't work, and there were tiny ants in the room on the morning of our check-out. The continental breakfast was convenient, but it lacked variety and got pricey quickly. A clock in the room would have been helpful too. Overall, I appreciate the efforts of the staff, but they could benefit from better maintenance and improved breakfast options.

Charming Stay with a Needed Parking Tip
Overall, we enjoyed our stay for two nights in a cozy room with a lovely shower. The breakfast spot offered a few good options, but be prepared for a wait. Parking can be tricky, so arrive early or consider public transport for easier access.

The location is fantastic, just steps from bars and restaurants, perfect for an enjoyable night out. The service was another highlight, with the staff providing excellent local recommendations and being incredibly helpful throughout our stay. However, the breakfast experience was less than ideal, as coffee carafes were frequently empty, leaving us waiting. Additionally, the room was uncomfortably hot with no window screens, allowing bugs to intrude.

Charming Stay with Room for Improvement
We enjoyed our five-night stay in the Deluxe Queen Room, particularly the warm welcome we received from the staff. The breakfast at the nearby café was a delightful start to each day, though service could improve with coffee refills. A few room upgrades would make it perfect!

The cozy, clean room was a highlight, equipped with everything necessary. The location was ideal, just a short walk from main attractions and featuring secure off-street parking. However, there were issues. the absence of window screens led to bugs entering at night, and the breakfast arrangement was disappointing, with limited coffee refills causing delays. While the staff was friendly, especially the innkeeper, these inconveniences overshadowed the positives.

Great location near terminals, clean rooms, but the mattress was really uncomfortable.

missingWrote a review on Aug 20cordial staffgreat location
The location was decent, close to the waterfront with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. And I gotta say, the young woman who checked us in—she was quite pleasant and knew exactly what was going on, but sadly, that was the highlight of our stay.
Paid a pretty penny for this stay, and it just wasn’t worth it.

The stay in the Deluxe Queen Room was smooth. The room had air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower, heating, and flat-screen TV. The Deluxe Queen room was cozy, and I enjoyed a surprisingly good coffee every morning. Relaxing by the pool and soaking in the hot tub after a long day were just what I needed! The bathroom was a bit cramped, but it didn't really dampen my experience. I highly recommend this place! 😊
